Patrick Walker
Patrick Walker is noted for his mediation skills in both Chambers and Legal 500 Directories. In 2009 he became one of the first 7 UK mediators certified by the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
Patrick was called to the Bar in 1979 and spent 20
years in Chambers in Leeds. He was a founder member of
the specialist commercial set, Chancery House Chambers.
He was accredited as a mediator by the ADR Group in
1997 and has since also trained and qualified with CEDR.
In 1999 he moved to Hammonds solicitors as Director for
Advocacy where he appears in all courts, the Lands
Tribunal and the Agricultural Land Tribunal. He both
conducts and advocates in mediations. He sits as a
Deputy High Court Judge, Recorder (Civil) and as a non-statutory Inspector.
Patrick conducts mediations with perception and authority
in both his specialist field of property law and in a wide
variety of commercial disputes. He is experienced in multiparty
disputes and is equally used to working with Leading
Counsel or litigants in person. He works nationally and has
a high success rate.
